![]() Jesus talks about this kind of faith in the midst of injustice and suffering when He says: "And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. They will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31 NIV) In other words, the Lord will empower, deliver, and exalt those who respond to their suffering with hopeful faith in God. "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. The final verse in this passage is a well-known one for most believers in Christ. And if He does, He doesn't have the power to do anything about it. They believe that God can't possibly know about their suffering. These people insinuate that God's power and wisdom are limited. This passage of Scripture records the subject of God's people complaining that He doesn't seem to know or care about their troubles, or their suffering through injustice.
